ST. THEODORE SCHOOL - 'Where the knowledge of God is the foundation of Learning' Kindergarten to Grade 8

The school has kindergarten right up to Grade 8 in multi-grade classrooms. Grade 7 & 8 students travel to Sacred Heart highschool in Yorkton for Practical and Applied Arts including classes in Technology, Home Economics and Industrial Arts. The curriculum is Faith Based wiht school wide celebrations and prayer services. They have school assemblies for liturgical events with advent, Christmas, lent, Easter, World Catholic Education Day and Marian prayers. They have the support of the Roman Catholic church priest and Ukrainian Catholic priests to be their pastoral care.

The school has Central office support including academic consultants, religion consultant, speech and language consultant, occupational therapist and school counselor for the student's needs. Extra-curricular activites include cross country running, badmington, track and field, skating, cross-country and downhill skiing, and camping experiences. There is a School Community council who represent the parents and support the school's goals. The SCC has been an eminent factor in our school and school division purchasing Smartboards and IPADS for the classrooms. It's great that the students can work in any classroom and use the superb technology that this offers!

Besides the usual classrooms, there is of course the GYM for all sorts of activities and they have a lounge area for the students with air hockey, foosball, and a couch / chair to relax in! The one wall in the hallway showcases all of the graduating classes going back to 1953 right up present day! It is a sight to see! You can call the school for information at 1-306-647-2762 or Email: lana.klemetski@cttcs.ca
